Maria Alessandra Segantini

Maria Alessandra Segantini, a graduate of Venice’s IUAV (1991), co-founded C+S Architects—with offices in Treviso and London—in 1994 and has led the firm since 2018. An advocate for “TranslationArchitecture,” her practice blends heritage sensitivity with innovative, sustainable design across cultural, educational, residential, and civic projects. In 2022, she received the prestigious Italian Architect of the Year Award and became the first woman inducted into the Honor Roll of the San Marino Order of Architects. An accomplished educator and author, she has held professorships in London and Belgium, lectured at MIT and Syracuse University, and published multiple books on architecture.
