A new administrative block in the heart of Prague will help
transform Florenc into a vibrant hub of offering jobs right at a major public transport
node. Passageways through the block will connect Karlín with Nové Město and
creat a welcoming space where people can meet, work, and relax.
Under the motto “Different faces, one identity,” the design introduces contemporary facades that give the building a pleasant, human scale. Greenery at street level and on rooftop terraces and gardens will improve the microclimate, bringing calm and a natural atmosphere to the city center. The architecture blends contemporary design with history and sustainability — a place where the city, nature, and inspiration come together.
Block B06 was developed through a separate competition held alongside the Florenc21: Phase West Four International Competitions. It was a closed call competition organised according to the ČKA rules with xy participating teams.

The project responds to the need to transform Florence’s impenetrable area into an open and lively urban space. Its key element is a modern office building that will offer a flexible working environment, complemented by retail services and gastronomy at an active street level. New passageways,
a boulevard, and small plazas will connect Karlín with the city center, creating places for meeting, culture, everyday movement, and culinary experiences.
Greenery on the ground floor and the rooftops will improve the microclimate and bring calm to the heart of the city. The design is based on sustainability — water management and renewable energy sources.
